Renovation Updates
Follow along as we (1) renovate Harrison House, (2) build a centralized maintenance facility, and (3) add a bathhouse to Camp Caleb Basecamp!

In this update: Insulation between walls, progress on the elevator shaft, work on the water retaining wall in the front.
ON this update you will see: the beginnings of the elevator shaft, the extension off the back of the kitchen, drainage pipes off the north end, the Storage Building holding all the contents of Harrison, the new bathhouse 1) outside 2) inside sinks 3) showers, digging around the front foundation for better drainage, new studs in the dining room, view out a back window, first floor staff apartment (replacing old nursery area,) 2 views of the work in the Johnson Room
Excavation work is almost complete! New construction and framing on the back wing will be complete by the end of this week. Excavation work to shore up and seal the foundation in the front of Harrison is on-going.

Steel I-beams are inserted for structural integrity and repair, a hidden stairway is found, a new road extends behind the hotel and the old roof is pulled off.

Breaking ground at Camp Caleb Basecamp – we have started progress at the Camp Caleb bathhouse, which will serve our youth programs and senior staff this summer!
Today was an exciting day – our construction contractors officially started work on our Harrison renovations!
No one does moving day better than military servicemembers – which is why we asked these cadets and midshipmen to help get Harrison House renovation-ready this week! About 30 volunteers from USCGA, USMA, and Norwich University spent their Spring Break moving Harrison House’s furniture into storage for the upcoming months.
