Join us for a brand new adventure centered around shooting trap! We’ll have fun learning how to safely handle firearms, shoot clay targets launched from our new trap machine, and have fun getting to shoot a few other firearms as well…as well as have fun playing archery tag too! WSS will provide the shotguns (20 gauge and 12 gauge) and ammo. You’re welcome to bring your own shotgun if you would prefer.

Additionally, you may bring your own firearms and ammunition for demonstration and target shooting in our quarry space. All personal weapons and ammo must remain in your locked vehicle during the weekend.

This weekend is intended for 1 parent and 1 child age 10-14. You will be camping in our base camp in a cabin (no heating.) There are no hotel accommodations for this event. The beds in the cabin have mattresses, but you’ll need to provide your own sleeping bags. Cost: $230

About Parent-Youth Adventure Weekends ( Canoe, Rappel and Climb, Trap Shooting/Firearms and Horse)

Parent-Youth Adventure Weekends are a time for a parent and child to get away from regular life and have fun connecting through games, high adventure, campfires, worship, and devotions. Designed for one parent and one child (ages 8-14, see specific weekend details for further age requirements), these weekends are an opportunity to build memories that will last a lifetime. Activities will vary depending on the adventure, but all of them will include a great time and great fellowship!

Parent-Youth Adventure Weekends start with dinner on arrival day in the Heritage House dining room and finish with lunch two days later in the Heritage House dining room, and you and your child will enjoy meals around the campfire throughout the rest of the weekend. Adventure Weekend participants lodge in cabins at Camp Caleb Basecamp or Outpost, though lodging at Heritage House is available for an additional fee for Horse Adventure Weekends. Be sure to note the dates listed below as some Adventure Weekends span Wednesday-Friday, or Thursday to Saturday while others span Friday to Sunday.
