Resurrection Retreat 2025 Theme: “Raised with Christ: Rediscovering Resurrection Realities for Today”

On this Resurrection weekend, we will rediscover the profound implications of Jesus’ resurrection, not just for the future, but for our walk with God today. We will explore the significance of Christ’s bodily resurrection, reflect on the assurance of our future resurrection, and consider how this truth empowers us to live with hope and purpose despite challenges and uncertainties of our life. We hope to equip our minds with a biblical foundation for enduring faith, rooted in the finished work of Christ, and renew our spirits with the transformative power of Jesus’ resurrection.


Retreat Speaker: Chaplain Light Shin, USA

Speaker BIO: Light served as an infantry officer for six years before answering the call to ministry. After graduating from Westminster Theological Seminary, Light re-entered the Army as a chaplain in 2008.

He has served with 82nd Airborne Division, 75th Ranger Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade, 1st Armored Division, and is currently serving as the Deputy Command Chaplain at U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command. Light has deployed iteratively in support of the Global War on Terror. He is married to Diane for 20 years and has three daughters, Abby (17), Katie (15), and Hannah (8).

Resurrection Retreat Pricing

Nightly meals & lodging rates are as follows: $93/adult/night, $47/teen (ages 13-17)/night, $35/youth (ages 3-12)/night, and ages 0-2 receive free meals & lodging. A separate conference fee of $35 per family reservation covers children and family programming. Have more than four kids in your family staying with you at WSS? Traveling with a larger family is labor intensive, and it hits the pocketbook harder. Take advantage of our discount for big families and pay only for your 4 oldest children (minors only).
