Speaker LtGen Clint Hinote, Topic: “Finding Practical Leadership Truths in the Bible”
About the Topic: Wherever we are, God calls us to lead. He calls us to lead ourselves, our families, our units, our communities, and our culture. The Bible contains many accounts of leaders, including stories about their successes and failures. In this session, we will examine Biblical leaders and learn from their experiences. We will celebrate the good and be honest about the bad. In doing so, we will seek practical truths we can apply to our lives because we can always learn and grow as leaders.
About the Speaker: Clint retired from the U.S. Air Force in 2023 after a 35-year career as a fighter pilot, military strategist, and senior leader. In his last assignment, he served as the futurist for the Air Force, responsible for creating the vision for the future force. He now writes and speaks on defense reform and leadership. He also teaches leadership and policy implementation at RAND’s School of Public Policy.
Concurrent Programs Available: Camp Caleb Junior (3rd-4th grade), Camp Caleb Adventure (5th-6th grade), Camp Caleb Challenge (7th-8th grade), Horsemanship Day camp, and Allegheny Outback! (9th-12th grade) NEW Camp Caleb Day Camp available for children of Summer R&R guests as space allows.
Horsemanship Day Camp is a great opportunity for kids (ages 8+) attending our Summer R&R program to learn more about horses. Our Wranglers teach aspiring equestrians basic horse anatomy, the essentials of riding equipment, techniques for tacking and grooming a horse, walking and trotting instructions for beginners, and then they’ll all hit the trails to gain real-world experience! Daily devotionals throughout the experience will focus on the lessons we can learn from one of God’s most majestic creatures.
A five-day traditional summer camp program with age-specific programs for rising 2nd-8th graders, Camp Caleb brings military youth into an authentic personal relationship with Jesus Christ, to strengthen their own family and peer relationships, and to prepare them for standing for Jesus Christ as teenagers.
A six-day program for rising 9th graders through recent high school graduates, Allegheny Outback! challenges teens to develop their very own personal knowledge of God by modeling Christ in real-life situations with plenty of adventure along the way.
